Will teleheath be sufficient to treat our mental health?

As the pandemic wears on the need for support from mental health professionals continues to increase. The real test is - will telehealth be as effective as face to face sessions in supporting patients on their journey? While telehealth has been an option for some time, users in 2020 have dramatically increased requiring providers to adapt their protocols when practicing remotely. Time will tell if those adaptations were sufficient.

As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues, talking to your therapist over the internet may be here to stay. Where you may have once traveled to a therapist’s office and sat face-to-face for an hour, you can now boot up your computer and log onto a secure, encrypted video platform like Zoom or Skype to chat with your mental health provider.
