Something for Everyone? Biden Administration's Regulatory Agenda Announced

On Friday, June 11, 2021, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) released the first of the twice annual update of the Administration's Regulatory and Deregulatory Agenda. You can search the database by relevant agency.  It is worth the time to review what agency actions are on the docket.

Of note is EPA's plan to proceed with a proposed rule concerning market-based approaches under the federal NPDES permit program, continuing momentum toward the development of sustainable water quality markets fueled by the prior Administration. The notice of proposed rulemaking is slated for April 2022, with a final rule in place by 2023.  We will be participating as this develops for sure.

The Biden Administration's Unified Agenda of Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions (Agenda) reports on the actions administrative agencies plan to issue in the near and long term. Released by the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, the Agenda provides important public notice and transparency about proposed regulatory and deregulatory actions within the Executive Branch.
