AI has been at the forefront of the ‘next great’ technology news and conversations since ChatGPT was released to the public in 2022. Efforts to make AI-enabled technology available for use, or training, have certainly escalated in the past year. While there have been hiccups here and there, many technology companies have continued to push their version of AI in the context of helping society day-to-day.
Until now, access to AI technology generally meant you had to use a downloaded app or go online to the web (or, maybe, via your voice with your favorite smart speaker). This may help you professionally by making you more efficient, or personally by assisting you with everyday tasks or searches you conduct online. With Microsoft's upcoming release of their newest keyboard, access to AI will literally be at your fingertips. Personally, I expect that the Copilot key will be used more than the ‘Insert’ key, but only time will tell.
