Pitch vs. Presentation

Startup founders everywhere should understand the core difference between a pitch and a presentation. While public speaking skills are a core part of fundraising, what makes a great pitch is the underlying storytelling.

A story that can capture a feeling and distill it down to an imagined future, one that the startup enables through its unique perspective or insight. If funders can get that feeling instantly, then they can see customers understanding the feeling as well.

Leaders should be looking for how they can tell their story in 60 seconds or less, and not miss out on the underlying emotional component that resonates with people.
