With COVID-19 vaccination rates increasing and a focus on return to work, increased leisure activities, travel, and sporting events, many are asking whether confirmation of vaccine status will be required as an additional admission ticket, whether by public or private entities. This remains a hotly contested question to which the verdict is still out, although the Biden administration has gone on record to sate that there will be no federal mandate to require a single vaccination credential.

That has set up a patchwork of policy-making, with dozens of bills making their way through state legislatures across the country—mostly seeking to ban vaccination requirements—and governors taking opposing stands.
